are there any free website design templates that i can use to create my website? I want to start my e-commerce business but don't know how to create and/or design my website to attract visitors, do you have any suggestions?
How long does it take to fill in a website design template and how difficult is it? I've been putting this off because I'm imagining it to be a huge & difficult task. I love learning about computer stuff. But, I'm just starting out learning how to put a website together (standard one with just a couple of pages of info like class schedule, rates, contact info., etc.). What makes website templates so easy to spot compared to custom sites? When I see a site that was designed using the many templates out there (such as templatemonster.com) it is very easy to spot. What do these templates have in common that makes them easy to seperate from custom designed websites?

WEBSITE DESIGN: I want to make my own website so I downloaded a free website template? but the website template only has the index.html (I think this is the homepage) 1. What is a website and a webpage? Is there a difference between the two? 2. How do I make the same template for my other pages (i.e. about us, contact, products etc.) but with a little difference from the index.html like for example there are photos in the index.html but for the other pages I want no photos or the photos are placed in a different area of the page?? I need some ideas for a website design. Can anybody help me? I am designing a website for my college portfolio and I am looking for some ideas for designs that I can create / modify. I am fresh out of ideas, apart from one that looks something like a fashion models portfolio. My portfolio will be on the internet, and I would like something quite catchy. It has to be similar to my personal style, and I don't mind using my photo if it fits, but I would prefer not to. I don't want to use any pre-made templates, otherwise it's not my work. My style is a mix between rock, punk, r'n'b and pop. Kind of an urban "skater boy", if you like. I would put screen shots of some of the things I have done to illustrate my work (so spaces for these would be really good), and possible put live examples of some of the work, server space permitting. If you can give me some basic ideas to go off, it would be pretty good. Whether or not you want it, you will be credited with the idea, because it is still your idea, not mine. A bit more info, if you need it: I'm going to be using Dreamweaver and Photoshop for the basic page. I can use Flash, if you have anything that needs it, or looks better in it. Any help you can give me would be really appreciated.

It is a heavy metal web-zine, and we were running last year as a german only site getting around 10,000 hits a month. THE PROBLEM : A potential customer is seeking to get a website designed by me which she is able to edit herself... I'm thinking : "IS THIS WHERE CMS COMES IN??!!" She cannot code at all, doesn't know any packages such as Dreamweaver... How wide (in pixels) is the typical website? I'm using MS Publisher to design a basic template website and I'm not interested in reformatting it for size several times over. I don't want to have a horizontal scroll bar I just want it to fit the screen.
